To celebrate the Grand Opening of the Kenan Center's new Civic Center on September 5, Nikki Milley has created Udderly Charming: A Nod to Daisy, a one-of-a-kind original painting inspired by Kenan history.
Every raffle ticket purchased does more than give you the chance to win a beautiful, original work of art, it also helps support the Kenan Center and its mission to enrich our community through the arts, education, history, and cultural programming. A portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Kenan Center, helping ensure it continues to inspire creativity and preserve our local heritage for generations to come. The remaining proceeds support award-winning artist Nikki Milley and her continued dedication to creating artwork that celebrates animals' stories and voices through her paintings.
Created in watercolor and colored pencil, the painting pays tribute to Daisy, the Jersey cow that captured the curiosity of William Rand Kenan Jr. after he purchased her in 1913. What began with one family cow grazing on his Lockport homestead grew into Randleigh Dairy, a 470-acre Jersey farm known for its innovation, fresh dairy products, and groundbreaking contributions to the dairy industry. Daisy was the beginning of a remarkable legacy, and this painting honors the cow that started it all.
This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork - no prints will ever be produced. The painting has been professionally matted and framed by Frames by Ames in Lockport and is ready to become the centerpiece of one lucky winner's collection.

The winning ticket will be drawn and announced on September 5 during Nikki Milley's live painting session at the Civic Center Grand Opening. Tickets will also be available for purchase throughout the event.
